Nirmal Jyoti, in Collaboration with the Social work Department of the Bhopal School of Social Sciences, observed the World AIDS Day on December1, 2014. Rally, Red Ribbon Campaign, street play and AIDS Prevention Oath were conducted in the premises of Bhopal Railway station, and in the slums of Gandhi Nagar and Bairagarh.
Nirmal Jyoti has initiated a tailoring training centre for ladies in the Sanjaya Nagar slum to foster the cause of woman empowerment. Fr. Scaria inaugurated the centre on 2.12.2014. The First batch has twenty two students Canara Bank, Bhopal through the intervention of Sisters of St Francis of Assisi (OSF) helped in purchasing two sewing machines for the tailoring centre. Nirmal Jyoti sincere acknoledges them for their timely support.
Separate Christmas programmes were organised for the beneficiaries of mental
health programme, psycho-social programme for the CLHA and ladies of Nirmal Jyoti tailoring centre. SVD Seminarians performed various programmes conveying the spirit of Christmas. Rev. Fr Scaria gave the message of the Feast. All were given Christmas gifts and sumptuous food.
Nirmal Jyoti Mental Health Program, Bhopal
Nirmal Jyoti mental health program is a unit of Nirmal Jyoti Educational & Charitable Society (NJECS). It is a humble initiative of Missionary Society of St Thomas the Apostle (MST Fathers). Its objectives are the welfare of the mentally ill people, their family members and the community.
